At our practice, we want everyone to be able to smile confidently. Whether it’s because they know their smile looks great or because they know that their oral health is in good shape, Dr. Brett Pantera is prepared to make that plan a reality. He’s very excited to be joining our team and cannot wait to meet each and every one of his new patients. Below, you’ll find a more detailed profile highlighting his path to dentistry, his education and his life outside of the practice. We hope that you find it easier to strike up a conversation with him during your visit!
Dr. Pantera became a dentist for three simple reasons: to help people, relieve pain, and give them the ability to smile confidently. With that said, he’s always enjoyed the interdisciplinary nature of the job, mainly because it combines medicine, artistry, and other disciplines that make each day more exciting than the last. He also finds dentistry to be incredibly rewarding as Dr. Pantera is an avid learner. Dentistry is one of the few professions that requires lifelong learning, and we couldn’t be happier to hear that from someone who’s now at our practice!
Dr. Pantera graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine to earn his DMD degree. Afterwards, he attended his general practice residency at Stony Brook University Hospital. There, he was trained in hospital dentistry and emergency dental care. Additionally, he attended multiple continuing education classes dedicated to CADCAM technology and implant restorations. Even after joining the practice, he always looks forward to future opportunities to hone his craft and improve the care he provides to patients. Dr. Pantera is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry
Dr. Pantera always loves spending time with his family and friends. When he’s not providing exceptional dental care to the people of Hamden, you can find him listening to his favorite bands performing live, cooking a tasty meal for his loved ones, playing a couple rounds of golf at his favorite course, traveling to new places around the country, and relaxing on the beach.
